If you ever want to play D&D, and you ever plan to draw your character, particularly with their weapon, particularly in an action pose, never EVER give them spiked chains. It's freaking suicide.

This is Arinae. She's the resident chainbitch/wannabe kyton of our D&D campaign. Half the characters in game think she's into bondage or something, but really she's just a master of chains. XD

I'm gonna regret calling this something dumb like "Arinae New" but I can't think of anything better right now. :p

PEE ESS: for comparison, here's her first ever design, from two years ago.

yay master of chains! Such a cool class...Have you read the "master of chains" novel? its actually kinda cool, but a little bit of a let down for me...(i wanted more chains, less guys with swords) awesome work! I can tell you put alot of tedious effort into her chains and outfit. (which i love, by the way :D )

THERE'S A NOVEL? O____O omg I have to read it now.

Yeah, the character was built entirely around that class. I was like "I always play mages, I'm making a freaking fighter" and told my DM I was gonna use spiked chains because "they look cool" and he pointed me at the prestige class and... yeah XD;

Ironically I think the chains work better for me when I just use a symbolic 0-0-0-0 thing for them, rather than trying to think about how it'd actually work. *shrug*

The novels really good, it's in the forgotten realms setting.

Awesome picture, and I know exacly how you feel with the whole chain as a weapon and trying to draw out the character. It's freaking hard. The end result looks really good.

I actually read it since this comment! :o It was... >_> ... I'm sorry, I kind of thought it was awful. XD The guy went from like, level 2 commoner to level 12 master of chains like THAT, I spent the entire novel going "where did all his XP come from?!" And the random gimpy wizard who just *happened* to be toting around magical spiked chains? XD wtf. Arinae didn't even manage masterwork ones until level 5.

Also thanks! I should do something new of her. :) It's been a while!

Well naturally he had many battles on his journey. :D At least you can assume that, but I do agree that he shouldn't have managed the full prestige class.
Wow, really? Level 5? That's a tad late isn't it? (Or maybe I'm just used to lots of gold. Most of the people I play with power game and the DM can sometimes be quite generous with the loot)

And yes, you really should do something new of her.

Our campaign is so very underpowered. @_@ She's level six now and still doesn't have any magical items apart from her plot point ring she got for free. I'm saving up so she can get "unholy" put on her chains but she doesn't have enough gold.

I wonder what a normal campaign is like XD if such a thing exists.

Thanks! :D It was invented by the D&D people, from what I can tell, but I wish it was real so I could learn to use one.

lol! I have supplies to make some out of foam and plastic chain, I would hurt myself so badly with metal ones.
